HIERBAS IBICENCAS
Hierbas Ibicencas is a traditional herbal liqueur from the island of Ibiza, revered for its unique blend of over 30 aromatic herbs and spices. Crafted using centuries-old methods, usually by the grandmother of the family, this iconic digestif encapsulates the essence of the Balearic Islands.
Hierbas Ibicencas is made by macerating a variety of locally sourced herbs, such as laurel leaves, rosemary, lavender, frigola (a local wild thyme) fennel tops, chamomile and the leaves and peel of oranges and lemons, along with other botanicals like fennel seeds and anise.
The herbs are carefully selected for their flavour profiles and medicinal properties, infusing the liqueur with a complex, herbal taste. After maceration, the herbal infusion is blended with a neutral spirit and left to mature, allowing the flavours to harmonise and develop depth.
